2019 Small Works Show

Welcome, Artist!

We are now accepting art submissions for The Big Little Art Show 2019! This show will be juried by Bay Area renown artists Rachel Moseley and Caia Koopman and take place at The Art Cave Gallery in Santa Cruz, California on Friday, December 6th 2019. The idea behind this show is to make art accessible and affordable to the many during the holidays, season of giving! This show will align with our own holiday festivities including two First Friday Art Receptions (Dec. 6th and Jan. 3rd). Artwork will be available to purchase right off of the wall/pedestal, so this exhibition layout will continuously be in flux as artwork is sold!  
*Rewards: Juror's Pick = $100 reward. Popular Vote = this artist will receive an automatic entry to a group exhibition at The Art Cave in 2020.

All artworks submitted should be less than 12"x 12" in any direction and priced under $150. As long as they fit within these perimeters all mediums are welcome: painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, textiles. A 40% commission of all art sales will go towards gallery costs. If accepted, artists will then have the option of proposing additional works (ex: under 12"x12" unframed prints, pins, stickers, shirts, etc...) to be added to the gallery merchandise table. 

• Submission (Extended) deadline is Friday, October 25th, 2019 at Midnight.
• Artwork will be juried and artists will be notified by November 1, 2019.
• A one-time $40 submission fee is required by each artist upon registering on our application site.
• Accepted artwork should be delivered to the gallery on Monday, November 11th, 2019 or will not be accepted. Artists are expected to pay for shipping and include a return label if needed. 
• The show will come down on Wednesday, January 8th. Art pick ups and returns will also be on this day.

Steps To Get Started:

1. Please click the "Register" button at the top right to begin your application process. You will be prompted to type in your information and one-time payment.
2. You will then be asked to "Add Application." Please fill out your submission information.
3. You will then be prompted to upload images.
4. To add a new artwork submission press "Add Application." On this site, each "art submission" is called an "application." They will all be bundled under your registration file and you will not be separately charged for each submission.
5. Repeat. Maximum of 7 submissions/applications.
6. If you run into any problems, please watch this quick video which will help walk you through the process.
(*Note: You can register now, and always pick up where you left off to complete your application,   you may add or edit your submissions all the way up until the Deadline Oct 25th)
